Installing Web Application Proxy

Howdy,

Today we will look at how, we can add the WAP to the server that is available  Windows Server 2012 R2.

Prerequisites:

• Windows 2012 R2 Server
• Valid IP address added

Steps here:

Click on  Server Manager

Click on Local Server

On  the Right Top, Click on Manage and select Add Roles and Features

Click Next In the Before you begin Wizard

Select Role-based or Feature-based installation

By default, in the next window, you would see that the local server is already selected. Click Next

In the next window, select Remote Access in the list of available Roles

 

In the next window, just click next as we do not intend to add any new feature now

Click next again in the next window,

Click on Web Application Proxy and you will be asked to add the required features

Click Add Features

Click Next again to see Installation Confirmation Window.

Click Install. You would see Installation progress

But you close the Window Right now as you will be notified in the server Manager once, the role is installed.

Once, the role addition  is successful, you will see a notification at the top of the Server Manger as below

Click on the Notification Flag & you will be asked to configure WAP

Now, that is how we add WAP role.
