Unique values in Excel or Filter duplicates

I was wondering how to remove duplicates or filter unique values from the Excel column some time back i got the solution through one of the blogs and i wanted to spread a word and so here it is:

Step1:
Select Cell Range you want to filter for removing duplicates

Step2:
Go to Data Tab in the Excel and click on remove duplicates and thats it Excel will remove duplicates for you.

The other way is
Step1:
Select Cell Range you want to filter for removing duplicates

Step2:
Go to Data Tab in the excel and click on advanced

Step3:
Either you can filter the list in place or copy them to other location[ in such case you need to select the cells you want the values to be copied to]. You will also need to select “Unique Records only” and press ok which will remove duplicates and make only the unique data visible
